Eligibility
Applicants from professional practice, academic institutions, and research organizations are welcome.; At least one Principal Investigator must be engaged in landscape architecture.; Must have a bachelor's or master's degree in landscape architecture (LAAB- or LAAC-accredited for US/Canada).; Degree in a related discipline acceptable if working/teaching as a landscape architect.; Fellows of ASLA may be considered regardless of degree.
Requirements
Research projects must be relevant and impactful for professional practice.; Projects must be completed in a 12- to 18-month period.; Proposed research should relate to sustainability, climate change, social equity, health, biodiversity, etc.; Applicants must clearly state the research question.; Grantees must submit quarterly progress reports and maintain contact with LAF.
Important dates
Grant period begins in summer or fall.; Grant runs for 12 or 18 months.
