Organizing CLAH Sessions

Frequently asked questions regarding the submission and review process for organizing sessions at the Conference on Latin American History (CLAH) annual meeting.

Eligibility
CLAH membership is required for panelists at the time of proposal submission; Scholars from Latin America or the Caribbean are exempt from mandatory membership; Scholars from fields outside of Latin American History are exempt from mandatory membership
Requirements
Panelists must be current in their dues to participate; No person may present more than one paper at the annual meeting; No person may play more than two roles (presenter, chair, commentator) at the annual meeting
How to apply
Submit proposal electronically to the AHA; Forward the full session proposal proof to the CLAH Program Committee separately
Important dates
February 15: Typical deadline for CLAH session proposals; Late April: Notification for joint-CLAH/AHA sessions; End of July: Notification for CLAH-only sessions
