Publishing companies outside of Japan.
Requirements
Translated work published between April 1, 2026, and February 28, 2027.; Original work written in Japanese must be published at the time of application.; Translations must be made directly from original works.; Contract for acquisition of translation rights must be concluded.; A part of the draft translation (approx. 30 pages) should accompany the application.; Plan for the project must be appropriate for realistic completion.

Copies of the contract between the translator(s) and applicant.; Estimates for the costs that the applicant intends to cover by the grant.; A part of the draft translation (approx. 30 pages).
