JACL National Scholarship Program
The JACL National Scholarship Program offers over 30 awards totaling over $70,000 annually to qualified students nationwide. Applications for 2026 are now available.

Eligibility
Must be an active National JACL member (Individual or Student/Youth); Planning to attend full-time at a US institution of higher learning (undergraduate or graduate); Students deferring enrollment do not qualify; May apply under only one scholarship category (exception for financial aid); Entering freshmen must be high school seniors; Creative & Performing Arts applicants cannot be professional artists

How to apply
Submit one application for all awards in the same category.; Applications reviewed for award preferences.; E-transcripts or PDF/JPG/PNG copies of transcripts and letters of recommendation are accepted.; Refer to 2025 Scholarship guidelines document for submission rules.
Important dates
December 2025: Applications available; March 2, 2026: Freshman applications due; April 3, 2026: All other applications due; September 2026: Recipients notified
