U.S. Presidential Scholars Program Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, including requirements for general, arts, and CTE components. Application is by invitation only.

Eligibility
Must be a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent U.S. Resident by the application deadline.; Must graduate or receive a diploma between January and August of the current program year.; Must score exceptionally well on SAT or ACT exams.; Must be nominated by Chief State School Officer or partner organization.; Arts component requires demonstrated academic achievement and talent in visual, creative, and performing arts.
Requirements
For the arts component, students must demonstrate academic achievement and talent in the visual, creative and performing arts.; For the CTE component, students must demonstrate academic achievement in career and technical programs.
How to apply
Application is by invitation only.; Students may not apply individually.; Students may not be nominated outside of the established process.
Important dates
SAT/ACT exams taken between August 2022 and October 2025 for the recognition cycle concluding June 2026.
