Must be a member of the American Musicological Society; Must hold a PhD or demonstrate equivalency in the scholarly record; Must not have access to employer-based research funding; Not open to present recipients of full-time fellowships; Not open to retirees; Not open to those who have received the PhD within the past five years

Narrative (500 words) outlining the proposed project and its importance for the applicant’s career; Proposed budget detailing when and how the funds are to be used; Curriculum vitae; One letter of recommendation from a scholar familiar with the applicant’s work
