APS/CSHL Undergraduate Summer Internship in the History of Biology

An eight-week hybrid summer internship program for undergraduates to conduct research in the history of the life sciences at the American Philosophical Society and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

Eligibility
Completed a minimum of two years of undergraduate studies; Entering third or fourth year of undergraduate studies; Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a U.S.-based college or university; Open to non-U.S. citizens or residents (no visa sponsorship provided)
Requirements
Preference for applicants who have completed a research paper related to the history of biology; Preference for applicants who have previously taken a seminar on a similar topic
Application materials
Resume or curriculum vitae; Two letters of reference; Two short essays (250 words each) on interest/career goals and planned use of collections; Writing sample (optional)
