Requirements

Materials Research Science and Engineering Centers (MRSEC)

Supports university-based centers for collaborative materials research and education, building shared facilities, training scientists, and strengthening industry partnerships.

Eligibility
Proposals may only be submitted by certain types of organizations.; Institutions awarded MRSEC in FY23 as lead are not eligible.; MRSEC full proposals by invitation only.; Proposals may only be submitted by certain types of PIs.; Individual may be PI or co-PI for only one preliminary proposal.
Requirements
Must be submitted in accordance with PAPPG and its supplements.; Must adhere to applicable NSF award terms and conditions.; Must address fundamental problems in science and engineering.; Must involve 2 to 3 Interdisciplinary Research Groups (IRGs).; Must contain a minimum of 2 IRGs and a maximum of 3 IRGs.
