Younger scholars who have received the doctorate; Graduate students for research on master’s theses or doctoral dissertations; Research must be in Native American linguistics, ethnohistory, and the history of studies of Native Americans; Research must be in the continental United States and Canada
Requirements
Recipients must provide a brief formal report; Recipients are requested to deposit physical or digital copies of field notes, recordings, and original materials with the APS Library; Applicants conducting research with Indigenous communities must provide information on contacts and consultation status; Grants are not for archaeology, ethnography, psycholinguistics, permanent equipment, or pedagogical materials
