Faculty at institutions of higher education; Postdoctoral researchers; Other doctoral level scholars; U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents; Non-U.S. citizens affiliated with a U.S. university or institution
Requirements
Must have received doctoral degree at the start of the award; Must use large-scale data (federal, international, or state longitudinal administrative data); Must not have previously received an AERA Research Grant as PI or CoPI; Must not accept concurrent grant or fellowship awards for the same project; Must share data or data-related products produced under the award

Proposal narrative (limited to 7 single-spaced pages); Variables list; References; Budget; List of other support; Principal and Co-Principal Investigator curriculum vitae (limited to 2 pages each)
How to apply
Submit all materials through the AERA Apply Portal; Include background information, project title, amount requested, and start/end dates; Provide an abstract (250 words maximum); Provide a list of previous work (250 words maximum)
