Eligibility
Ability to obtain a future security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.; Be currently enrolled in a graduate degree or doctorate program or have within 18 months prior to application deadline.; Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.; Available to work full time for the duration of the one-year fellowship.
Requirements
Must meet eligibility requirements.; Subject to a federal background investigation for security clearance.; Demonstration of non-use of federally illegal drugs for twelve consecutive months prior to clearance request.; SF-86 Form required for processing DOE security clearances.
Important dates
August 1, 2026 – Application opens.; October 3, 2026 – Application closes.; June 2027 – Fellowships begin.; June 2028 – Fellowships complete.
