Eligibility
Eligibility determined by project, affiliation, and tribal heritage for some fellowships.; US citizens or foreign nationals in the US for three years required for NEH-funded long-term fellowships.; Past short-term fellowship recipients may apply for long-term fellowships.; Cannot apply for another short-term fellowship for the same project if previously received one.; Must wait five years after a long-term fellowship before applying for another.
Requirements
Successful applications consider project significance, applicant's ability, and project appropriateness to collections.; For short-term fellowships, the Newberry's collections must be vital for the project's success.; Separate applications are required for different fellowship types.; Applicants can only accept one fellowship per year.; No revised materials accepted after submission.
