Eligibility

Postdoctoral candidates with terminal doctorates.; No more than 6 years of postdoctoral research training at application receipt date.; Exceptions to the 6-year limit may be approved for significant changes in fields of study.; Time spent in Ph.D. lab after obtaining the degree counts against the 6-year limit.; Eligibility extension for childbirth is available.

Requirements

K99 PD(s)/PI(s) must have an eligible tenure-track position to activate R00 phase.; Applicant institution determines and documents visa status for award duration.; Change of institution requires assurance of award terms and benefits.
