NBCC Foundation offers scholarships and fellowships to counseling students and training awards to professionals. Learn about available programs and application periods.
Must be enrolled in a CACREP-accredited or pending CACREP accreditation program.; Doctoral fellows must be enrolled full-time; Master's fellows can be part-time or full-time.; Must have completed courses in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 and be currently enrolled.; Cannot have earned an advanced degree in a behavioral health field at the same level.; Anticipated program completion date must be after September 30, 2027.
Requirements
Application and all supporting documents must be in English.; Must submit a complete application by the deadline.; Must provide a Letter of Good Standing.; Must provide academic program documentation (transcript or class schedule).; Must provide legal status documentation.

Updated Résumé or CV; Letters of Reference (2 for Master's, 3 for Doctoral); Academic Program Documentation; Letter of Good Standing; Personal Statement (up to 5 pages); Personal Statement Video (max 5 minutes)
How to apply
Application is available online only.; Attach all supporting documentation to the online application.; Reference letters are submitted electronically by the referrer.; Requests to edit application must be made via Submittable by June 15, 2026.; Email foundation@nbcc.org for any changes after submission.
