Official guidelines and application requirements for the CAORC Multi-Country Research Fellowship, which supports advanced transnational research for US scholars.
US citizens; US doctoral candidates who are 'all but dissertation' (ABD) by May 2025; Scholars who have earned their PhD or a terminal degree; Individuals or teams; Independent scholars are eligible; Must not have held a Multi-Country Fellowship in the past three years
Requirements
Research must be conducted in two or more countries outside the US; At least one country must host a participating Overseas Research Center (ORC); Minimum of 90 days of research travel; Full-time research commitment during travel; Must abide by US Department of State travel restrictions
Application materials
Project description (1500 words or less); One-page bibliography or literature review; One letter of recommendation; Curriculum Vitae (3 pages maximum); Transcripts (PhD candidates only)
