Eligibility
Open to all students and teachers, regardless of race, religion, physical abilities, economic status, sex, or sexual orientation.; Adaptations available for students with disabilities.; Two divisions: Junior (grades 6-8) and Senior (grades 9-12).; Some affiliates may sponsor 4th and 5th graders.; Groups can consist of 2-5 students from any grade (project division based on oldest member).
Requirements
Projects must focus on an annual theme.; Must follow rules outlined in this manual for regional and national levels.; School-level rules may be adapted by teachers.; Students can participate for a maximum of seven years.
How to apply
Register and meet specific deadlines set by competition coordinators.; Follow procedures established by the competition coordinator.; Check affiliate website for specific logistical procedures, deadlines, fees, and policies.; Advance projects from school to regional/affiliate levels based on affiliate coordinator's policy.; Two projects per division and category can advance to the National Competition per affiliate.
