Eligibility

Appointed members of NIH Study Sections, Boards of Scientific Counselors, Advisory Boards/Councils, Program Advisory Committees.; Eligibility begins on active appointment date, continues six weeks after retirement.; Applies to R01, R21, and R34 FOAs with standard due dates.

Requirements

Submitted with continuous submission-eligible PD/PI.; Submitted to R01, R21, R34 FOAs with standard due dates.; Must include a cover letter identifying the eligible PD/PI.

How to apply

Submit applications with a cover letter identifying the continuous submission-eligible PD/PI.; Applications accepted no later than 5 PM local time on the last day of the receipt period.

Important dates

Release Date: January 24, 2020; Effective February 8, 2020: Continuous submission deadlines moved back approximately one week.; Reviewers eligible through September 30, 2020, or through September 30, 2021 if eligibility earned Jan 2019-June 2020.
