Eligibility

Hold a Ph.D. or have successfully defended a dissertation by the application deadline.; Nontenured faculty revising dissertation for publication.; Ph.D. received after Dec. 31, 2020 for Thom Fellowships.; Faculty members and post-doctoral scholars within 10 years of receiving their PhD.; Curators with equivalent professional experience.

Important dates

Long-term fellows expected in residence September to May.; Academic term fellows participate in working groups for their term.; Travel grants can be taken up as early as July 1, 2026, and no later than June 30, 2027.; Exchange fellowships can begin as early as July 1, 2026, and no later than June 30, 2027.
