Supports research in Humanities and Social Sciences only.; Comparative research projects are welcome if a significant portion deals with Japan.; JF only supports research conducted in Japan.; Application is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents via JF New York.; Students enrolled in a degree-granting program at a Japanese university are ineligible.
Requirements
Must read the Guidelines and apply online via SurveyMonkey Apply.; JF cannot accept supplementary application materials.; Transcripts must be received by the application deadline.; Recommenders must submit letters directly via the application website.; Language evaluation form should be completed by someone who can attest to language skills needed for the project.
