Award amount

Junior Fellows: up to $24,000 prorated, max $12,000 per year.

Eligibility

Must be prospective secondary school teachers of history, government, or civics.; Must demonstrate interest in graduate study emphasizing the Constitution and Bill of Rights.; Must demonstrate willingness to devote themselves to teaching and civic responsibility.; At least one fellow selected per state, DC, Puerto Rico, and US territories (funding permitting).

Requirements

Must teach American history, American government, or civics.; Teaching Obligation: at least one year of full-time secondary school teaching for each year of assistance.; Reimbursement required if teaching obligation is not met.
