Eligibility
Must be a U.S. citizen by the application deadline.; Hold at least a Bachelor's degree or obtain one by June 26th, 2026.; Be mentally and physically healthy.; Be interested in Japan and willing to deepen knowledge and appreciation.; Have excellent English language skills (pronunciation, rhythm, intonation, writing, grammar).
Requirements
Not have participated on the JET Program since 2023 or for more than five years total.; Not have declined a JET Program position in the last program year.; Not have lived in Japan for six or more years since 2016.; Agree to reside in Japan under the specified status of residence.; Obey all Japanese laws and finish probation/fines by the deadline.
