Eligibility
Must be a U.S. citizen.; Must be a teacher or plan to become a teacher of American history, government, social studies, or political science at the secondary level (grades 7-12).; Must possess a bachelor's degree or plan to receive one by August 31 of the application year.
Requirements
After receiving master's degree, must teach qualifying subjects for one year per academic year of funding.; Teaching must be done in-person at a school.; Must complete graduate study within two academic years (Junior Fellows) or five years (Senior Fellows).; Must complete the Summer Institute on the Constitution.; Graduate study must include substantial constitutional coursework (at least 12 semester credits).
