Eligibility

Hold a Ph.D. or have defended dissertation by deadline; Nontenured faculty revising dissertation; Faculty, post-doctoral scholars within 10 years of PhD; Curators with equivalent experience; Scholars ABD onwards

Requirements

Pursue scholarship in a field appropriate to The Huntington’s collections; Ph.D. received after Dec. 31, 2020 (for Thom Fellowships); Spend at least one month at each institution (for Berger Trust Fellowship); Doctoral candidates ABD, faculty, postdoctoral scholars (for Travel/Exchange); Based in North America (for Travel/Exchange)

Important dates

Travel grants can be taken up as early as July 1, 2026, and no later than June 30, 2027.; Exchange fellowships can begin as early as July 1, 2026, and no later than June 30, 2027.
