Students at a U.S. or Canadian university; Members of a historically underrepresented group; Preference given to citizens or permanent residents of a North American country; Must have completed at least one year of full-time graduate work; Must intend to pursue a Ph.D.; Must be in good standing at their home institution
Requirements
Must be enrolled in full-time study; Fellows are expected to focus on completing their dissertations; Not to undertake more than 20 hours each week of paid or unpaid employment during the fellowship term; Cannot hold an equivalent major award concurrently or consecutively unless accepted without a stipend
Application materials
Brief statement (max 200 words) on underrepresented group status and contribution to musicology; Personal statement (max 1,000 words) on background, research interests, and goals; Curriculum vitae; Work sample(s) (max 30 pages total); One letter of support from a faculty member
