Juniors and seniors from Barnard College, Columbia College, and School of General Studies (Research Fellowships); Serious interest in post-Soviet and/or East-Central European regions (Research Fellowships); Columbia undergraduate and graduate students (Summer Language Study Fellowships); Undergraduates and/or graduate students with interests in Russian and/or Soviet Studies (Padma Desai Fellowship); Students from economics, political science, and history may apply (Padma Desai Fellowship)
Requirements
Use fellowship for senior theses or equivalent major research project (Research Fellowships); Present research results at a public seminar (Research Fellowships); Intensive study of languages of Russia, Eurasia, and East-Central Europe (Summer Language Study Fellowships); Use fellowships in locations enriching understanding of Russian and Soviet Studies (Padma Desai Fellowship)
