Eligibility

All graduate students; Must be members of the Children's Literature Association or join before receiving funds; Recipients are not eligible to reapply until the third year from the date of the first award

Requirements

Proposals must be for original scholarship; Must lead to publication or conference presentation; Must contribute to the field of children's literature criticism; Must submit a progress report or summary by April of the year following the award

Application materials

Cover sheet (name, contact info, institution, status, expected degree date); Detailed research proposal (max 3 single-spaced pages); Curriculum vitae; Two letters of reference (one from dissertation/thesis advisor)
