California Medical Scholarships - Great Minds in STEM

Scholarships for underrepresented students pursuing medical professions in California. Awards range from $1,000-$3,000. Application opens July 12, 2024.

Up to $25,000 in scholarship awards will be made in 2024.

Eligibility

Member of an underrepresented group in medicine; Bachelor's degree from accredited institution with at least a 3.0 GPA; Admitted and plan to enroll as a first-year or second-year medical student at specific CA universities; Pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree; U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or DACA; Demonstrate volunteer time supporting seniors and/or individuals with disabilities

Current Resume (two-page limit); Biographical Sketch (up to 250 words); Personal Statement (up to 500 words); Official or Unofficial Undergraduate Transcript
