Eligibility

Students in their second or third year of PhD program as of application close date.; Must have at least two full years of study remaining at award start.; Enrolled in biological or biomedical PhD or dual-degree program.; International students eligible if allowed to study and receive funding.; Students with active Temporary Protected Status eligible.

Requirements

Research must be in basic biological and biomedical sciences.; Application is a collaboration between student and PhD advisor.; Advisor must submit separate, customized materials for each applicant.; Reference letter from someone familiar with the applicant as a scientist.; Research statement with a 3-page limit, figures allowed.
