The Gerda Henkel Prize honors outstanding scholarly achievements in historical humanities and related fields, awarded every two years with a prize of 100,000 euros.

Scholars from all countries can be nominated.; Open to individuals or teams.; Self-nominations or nominations of organizations are not accepted.; Jury members, Foundation Committee members, and employees are not eligible.

Requirements

Nomination form; Supporting statement by nominator; Academic curriculum vitae for nominee(s); List of most important academic publications from the last five years.

How to apply

Nomination by scholars of universities or academic institutions.; Nominations are invited by the Foundation.
