Planetary Science and Technology Through Analog Research (PSTAR)
Solicits proposals for investigations exploring Earth's extreme environments to develop a basis for planetary research. Focuses on science, science operations, and technology.
Proposals for new work or extensions of currently funded tasks.; Must demonstrate fidelity to at least two of three objectives: Science, Science Operations, or Technology.; Not accepting proposals for work in Antarctica.; Proposals for development of flight instruments should be submitted to C.12 or C.13.; Proposals for topical conferences, workshops, or symposia should be submitted to E.2.
Requirements
Two-step proposal submission process.; Mandatory Data Management Plans (DMPs).; Plan to engage the public and media during field deployment.; Specify areas of fidelity (Science, Science Operations, Technology).; Justify field site selection.
Application materials
Step-1 proposals are mandatory.; Follow formatting requirements in Appendix C.1 and NASA Guidebook for Proposers.; Include a plan for engaging the public and media (max 1 page addendum).; DMPs must be placed in a special section (max 2 pages).
