EERI Student Chapters Authorization and Regulations

Details the authorization, qualifications, application process, and regulations for establishing and maintaining EERI Student Chapters.

Eligibility
Organization of students at a university with a program related to earthquake engineering or related discipline.; At least one full-time faculty member who is an active EERI member serving as Faculty Advisor.; University department chairman endorsement.; Minimum of six (6) undergraduate or graduate students who are active EERI student members.
Requirements
Faculty Advisor must be a full-time faculty member and active EERI member.; Contact Member should engage in active professional practice and be an active EERI member.; Submit an online application with cover letter, university endorsement, list of advisors/contacts, and student members/officers.
Application materials
Cover letter stating Chapter qualifications.; Letter confirming university endorsement.; List of proposed Faculty Advisor(s) and Contact Member(s).; List of at least six (6) active EERI student members and proposed Chapter Officers.
How to apply
Submit an application using the online Student Chapter Application Form.; Application must include specific supporting documents.; EERI Staff will review the application and send it to the EERI Board for approval.
Important dates
Annual report due no later than May 1 of each year.
