Eligibility

2027 Global Program Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for the 2027 Global Program, including citizenship, age, language proficiency, and restrictions on children, spousal travel, and prior fellowships.

Eligibility
Must have citizenship and/or current residence for at least five years in the country applying to represent.; Not eligible for international programs if currently residing in the United States.; If not residing in or having citizenship in an active EF country, must demonstrate regional impact and obtain a recommendation letter.; Priority given to applicants aged 32-45, but candidates slightly outside this range will be considered.; Strong proficiency in English language is required.
Requirements
Selected Fellows must obtain approval from their workplace for a full-time leave.; Children are not permitted on fellowship.; EF does not fund spousal travel.; Cannot have had any fellowship within the previous two years of applying.; Cannot use the fellowship to make business deals, solicit funds, or seek financial support.
Application materials
Use of generative AI/ChatGPT in essay portions is prohibited.; All outside sources must be properly cited.
Important dates
Program tentatively anticipated to take place over nearly six weeks from early April 2027 through mid-May 2027.
