2026 Fall and USA Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria and important considerations for the 2026 Fall Innovative Entrepreneurs Program and the 2026 USA Program, including citizenship, age, language, and application rules.

Eligibility
Must have citizenship and/or current residence for at least five years in the country they are applying to represent.; Selected International Fellows must be eligible for a J-1 visa.; Priority given to applicants aged 32-45, but candidates slightly outside the range may be considered.; Strong proficiency in English is required.; Must obtain approval from workplace for leave and commit full-time to the program.
Requirements
Cannot have had any fellowship within the previous two years of applying.; Cannot use the fellowship to make business deals or solicit funds.; Use of generative AI/ChatGPT in application writing is prohibited.; Eisenhower Fellows and EF global network members can only recommend one candidate per cycle.
Important dates
Fall program tentatively scheduled for nearly six weeks from early October 2026 through mid-November 2026.; All Fellows must convene in person in Austin for several days in early October.
