Eligibility

Students and/or apprentices studying to learn practical trades used in historic preservation.; Preservation trade must relate to EAIA's purpose of preserving early American trades, skills, and crafts.

Requirements

Submit a letter of application describing trade goals and how scholarship will assist.; Submit three letters of reference from instructors or supervisors.; Awardees must submit a written report of expenditures and work performed with captioned photos.; Awardees must submit a short article (under 500 words) for publication in Shavings newsletter.; Monies may not be used for salaries, historical artifacts, or software.

Complete the application form.; Send completed application to grants@eaia.us.; Keep a copy for your records.

Important dates

References must be received by March 15.; Report must be filed by March 15 the year following the award.
