Year 1: $70,000 stipend + $2,000 expense allowance
Eligibility
Must hold MD, PhD, MD/PhD, DDS, DVM, DO or equivalent degree.; Basic scientists (Level 1): Degree received no more than 18 months prior to deadline; not in Sponsor's lab for more than one year.; Physician-scientists (Level 2): Must have completed residency/clinical training and be board eligible in the US.; Must be under the guidance of a Sponsor (tenured, tenure-track or equivalent).; Foreign candidates may apply to do research only in the United States.; Candidates holding or awarded NIH K awards at time of application are not eligible.
Requirements
Must devote 100% of time to research (Basic scientists) or at least 80% (Physician-scientists).; No more than two Damon Runyon Fellows per Sponsor at any given time.; Proposals must not be direct extensions of graduate work.; Must include a copy of diploma to confirm date of conferral.
