US Citizen; Currently enrolled undergraduate student (junior or senior); Completed at least one year of study; Project must be part of the student's curriculum for academic credit

Project must be in the field of directed energy (e.g., high energy laser, high power microwave); Must have a faculty mentor; Project duration up to nine months; Student must not graduate before the end of the project

Proposal (Title page, Project description, Schedule and budget); Letter of intent from a faculty mentor
