Dalhousie University - Visiting Graduate Research Student (VGRS) Program

Information and application procedures for graduate students from other institutions to conduct short-term research at Dalhousie University for up to one year.

Eligibility
Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an international educational institution other than Dalhousie University; Must intend to conduct research on a full-time basis that is academically relevant to the home program; Must not intend to take courses at Dalhousie; Must have a prospective Dalhousie supervisor who agrees to supervise the research
Requirements
Maximum term of stay is one year (three terms); Must register for each term of study; Must have health insurance coverage (automatically enrolled in DSU International Health Plan upon registration)
Application materials
Completed application via Student Application Portal; Letter from Dalhousie supervisor supporting the stay, including specific start/end dates and signatures; Letter from home university supervisor supporting the stay, including specific start/end dates on letterhead
How to apply
Connect with a prospective supervisor at Dalhousie; Submit application via the Student Application Portal; Upload required support letters from both Dalhousie and home university supervisors; Submit application at least four months before the proposed start date
