Research security assessment and required recipient documentation effective December 2, 2025.; Research security training certifications required for proposers and senior/key personnel effective December 2, 2025.; Prohibition of individuals in Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs (MFTRP) from serving as senior/key personnel.; MFTRP certifications required from proposers and senior/key personnel.; Foreign Financial Disclosure Reporting (FFDR) required annually for direct recipients of NSF funding.
Important dates
Effective December 2, 2025: Research security assessment and training requirements.; In effect: Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program prohibition and certification.; Reporting period for FFDR: July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025.; FFDR reporting portal opens: September 1, 2025.; FFDR report submission deadline: October 31, 2025.
