APF welcomes applicants with diverse backgrounds with respect to age, race, color, religion, creed, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender and geography.; Graduate students enrolled in an interim master’s program or doctoral program; Students in terminal master’s programs must intend to enroll in a PhD program; Must be enrolled in the graduate program at the time grants are awarded; Applicants must be nominated by a COGDOP member department; Nomination limits based on department size: 100 or fewer students (1 nominee), 101-200 students (up to 2 nominees), more than 200 students (up to 3 nominees)

Brief proposal of thesis or dissertation project (10 pages max, excluding references); Department endorsement; CV; Transcript (unofficial/student copy acceptable)
