Eligibility
Active enrollment in a graduate program (master’s level and above) in humanities or social sciences in a U.S. or Canadian university.; Applicant should have finished coursework and be writing thesis proposals with a field research component.; Thesis project requires substantial field research in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and/or Taiwan.
Requirements
Submit a detailed report of field research activities.; Contribute one or more short essays as blog or WeChat posts.; Fieldwork plan including dates and location.; Explanation of how fieldwork contributes to thesis project.; Statement on how you would like to contribute to OYCF in the future.
Application materials
Short cover letter (2-page maximum); Full draft of thesis proposal; Itemized budget with justification; Curriculum vitae; Two letters of recommendation (one from thesis advisor)
