Eligibility

Must be affiliated with a current ARCE Research Supporting Member (RSM) institution; Principal Investigator (PI) must be an individual member of ARCE; Junior faculty are particularly encouraged to apply; Must have completed all deliverables for any prior ARCE grants; Not a current member of the ARCE Board of Governors, AEF Committee, or Finance and Budget Committee

Requirements

Project must be archaeological field research in Egypt; Sites must date from pre-history to 100 years old; Project must be completed within one fiscal year (July 1 - June 30); Must maintain individual and institutional membership for the duration of the project

Application materials

Project narrative (1,500-3,000 words); Project abstract (100-150 words); Proposed budget and budget narrative; CV of the PI (max 4 pages); CVs of project members receiving funds (max 1 page); Salary history of participants

How to apply

Submit draft proposals (optional) to aef@arce.org by December 20; Submit final applications via the Submittable platform at ARCE.org/grants/aef by February 15th

December 20: Draft proposal deadline; January 1: Feedback on draft proposals; February 15: Final application deadline; May 15: Award decision notification
