Who can apply – Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds Travel Grants

Eligibility criteria for the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) travel grant, detailing academic status, citizenship requirements, and project scope for junior scientists.

Eligibility
PhD students or medical students during their doctoral thesis; Postdocs; Graduates who have applied for a PhD project abroad but have not yet worked with their potential supervisor or obtained a position; European citizens working in Europe or overseas; Non-European citizens performing MD, PhD, or postdoctoral projects in Europe, or using the grant to work in Europe; PhD/MD students/graduates: University entrance qualification obtained no more than 11 years (132 months) prior to the planned visit
Requirements
Must pursue an experimental project in basic biomedical research; Project must aim to elucidate basic biological phenomena of human life; Research stays must not exceed three months; Courses must include at least 50% practical work
