Must demonstrate commitment to a career related to the Asian country and language; Applicants for Blakemore Kingfisher Fellowship must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or a foreign national studying in a graduate program in the U.S. or Canada; Applicants for Blakemore Freeman or Blakemore Fellowships must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; Must have language proficiency equivalent to at least third-year college-level study; Undergraduate seniors may apply if they will receive their degree before the program start date; Applicants do not need to be currently enrolled in graduate school or living in the U.S.
Requirements
If minimum coursework is not met, must provide a Language Evaluation Form completed by an instructor; Must provide proof of language proficiency (e.g., OPI, JLPT, HSK, TOCFL, TOPIK, or ACTFL-aligned test scores)
