Autism Science Foundation Undergraduate Summer Research Grant 2026
Official Request for Applications (RFA) for the 2026 Undergraduate Summer Research grant, providing guidelines for eligibility, proposal requirements, and submission instructions.
Currently enrolled undergraduates in good standing; Must not have a BA or BS degree at the time the award starts; Research must be conducted under a highly qualified mentor; Mentor must hold a tenured or tenure-track faculty appointment or equivalent
Requirements
Research must be scientifically linked to autism; Research must be conducted for no less than 8 weeks; Must involve a mentor at an accredited institution; Must provide IRB/IACUC approval before award is made; Must register for an ORCID ID
Application materials
Title page with project title, applicant/mentor details, and race/ethnicity; Project abstract (1000 characters max); Research plan (6000 characters max); Applicant personal statement (5000 characters max); Unofficial transcript; Applicant CV
How to apply
Compile all documents except the letter of recommendation into a single PDF; Email the PDF to grants@autismsciencefoundation.org; Have the mentor email the letter of recommendation separately to the same address with the student's name in the subject line
