Research security training certifications required for proposers and senior/key personnel.; Documentation for foreign appointments, employment, talent programs, and current/pending support.; Prohibition for individuals involved in Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Programs (MFTRP).; Annual MFTRP certification for PIs/co-PIs on active awards made after May 20, 2024.; Foreign Financial Disclosure Reporting (FFDR) for institutions receiving NSF funding.

Important dates

Research Security Assessment and Documentation effective December 2, 2025.; Research Security Training effective December 2, 2025.; MFTRP Prohibition in effect.; MFTRP Certification in effect.; FFDR reporting period July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025.; FFDR portal opens September 1, 2025.
