Eligibility

Must have completed a PhD or equivalent research doctorate in communication sciences and disorders within the past five years (since 2021).; Must not have received external research funding since completion of the PhD (training grants like NIH F32 are acceptable).; Students currently enrolled in a degree program are not eligible.; Research must be initiated, not currently in progress.; Must be able to complete the study in one year.

Requirements

Proposal must have clinical relevance to audiology and/or speech-language pathology.; Must complete an Intent to Submit Form.; Must obtain IRB approval or provide human subjects documentation.; Must submit a final report of activities and outcomes by December 31, 2027.

Investigator Letter (limit 2 pages); Abstract (limit 1 page); Research Plan (limit 10 pages); References and/or Appendices (limit 2 pages); Management Plan and Budget (limit 2 pages); Investigator Biographical Sketch (NIH-style)

How to apply

Complete the Intent to Submit Form.; Prepare a single PDF document containing all required sections in the specified order.; Ensure font is 12 point, uncondensed, with at least 1-inch margins.; Submit proposal according to ASHFoundation guidelines.
