ASF Fellowships/Grants to Study in Scandinavia
Official program page for American-Scandinavian Foundation fellowships and grants for U.S. citizens and permanent residents to conduct research or creative projects in Nordic countries.
United States citizens or permanent residents; Must have completed undergraduate education by the start of the project; Priority given to graduate-level candidates for dissertation-related research; Priority given to applicants who have not previously received an ASF award; Limited to two awards within a ten-year period
Requirements
Must secure own academic or professional affiliations in the Nordic region; Must provide confirmation of invitation or affiliation; Must demonstrate language proficiency if required for the project; Must be able to conduct interviews in local language if applicable
Application materials
Completed ASF application form; Well-defined project description and statement; Three letters of recommendation (one must be from supervisory chair for MA/PhD candidates); Language proficiency letter (if applicable)
