Advanced doctoral degree student working toward the completion of the dissertation; Scholars in any field and all periods of time; Open to those who are not U.S. citizens or residents, but does not provide visa sponsorship; Must be in good standing and have advanced to candidacy within a doctoral degree granting program

9 month residential fellowship; Desk space at the American Philosophical Society

C.V.; Introductory cover letter (no more than two pages); Project proposal of no more than 1,000 words in length; Short statement (no more than one page) describing engagement with or membership in the Indigenous community; Two letters of recommendation (for community-based projects, one must be a statement of support from the Indigenous community)
