American Philosophical Society (APS) - Predoctoral Residential Library Fellowships

$3,000 stipend plus travel costs for attending summer workshop
Eligibility
Open to people at any stage of their career, regardless of academic background; Open to applicants anywhere in the world, including non-US citizens or residents (no visa sponsorship provided); Applications welcome from individuals or teams
Requirements
Travel to APS in Philadelphia in July 2026 to participate in a workshop and share projects-in-progress; Continue to work with APS staff and affiliates to complete objectives following the workshop
Application materials
Introductory cover letter describing applicant(s) and their relationship to the project and Indigenous community; Proposal (500 words) outlining work to be undertaken during the fellowship term; C.V. or Resume; Names and contact information for two people who will provide letters of recommendation (one must be from the Indigenous community if working on a community-based project)
