Eligibility

US-based graduate students; Enrolled and in good academic standing at a doctoral degree granting university; University must be accredited in and have a campus located in the United States; Must have completed all preliminary degree requirements, including comprehensive exams and dissertation prospectus defense, on or before August 15 of the grant cycle year

Requirements

Must be conducting empirical dissertation research; Must inform APSA of all additional sources of funding; Must provide proof of IRB approval/exemption for human subjects research; Grantees must submit financial paperwork, a public-facing summary, attend professional development, document spending, and submit final/interim reports
